Alan Sonfist to Speak at the Whitney Museum: Urban Earthworks Lecture


Thursday November 17th, 2PM & 7PM, Alan Sonfist will discuss his role in the Earth/Land Art Movement and his specific ideas of bringing nature back into the urban environment. Sonfist will also announce his plans to develop a network of Time Landscapes across the metropolitan area of New York and New Jersey. He will sign copies of his new monograph Nature: The End of Art (DAP) after his talk.

Admission for the 2pm program is free with Museum admission. Admission for the 7pm programs is $8; members, senior citizens, and students with valid ID $6. Advance sales are strongly recommended, as seating is limited.
